Mission of the organization is to empower informal workers, women and girls to have their all citizenship rights, and have dignified livelihood opportunities for all.
Mehnatkash Kalyan Evam Sandarbh Kendra is a not for profit and non governmental social service organization inclusive in nature. The organization was founded in 2005-06 by a group of people who committed to work for the neglected groups of Domestic workers in urban areas of Jaipur. The organization has also forged formal and informal alliances with many organizations. We have been at the vanguard of advocating for the rights of domestic workers, their children, and migrant domestic workers. We evolved and deepened our understanding of the urban poor throughout time, and our work with construction workers expanded. We built a stronger and more dedicated team of volunteers, community leaders, and field employees that work together to achieve our common goal.
We also have the help of a large network of partner organizations, social activists, and friends. We have built capacities of a large number (15000) of domestic workers, (10000) number of construction workers and 500 adolescent girls living in urban slums. MKSK seeks to enhance the lives of marginalized and poor urban communities, particularly informal workers, women, and youth, by supporting their right to a dignified existence.
